Guest guest
I don't like milk...never have, lol...But I did raise a couple of dairy goats. Back in the Adelle days she recommended goats milk for weaned babies, etc. So I got the wild hair went out bought two Nanny goats without knowing anything about them, lol..They were the sweetest things! So I began reading & milking goats twice per day for my daughters. I made homemade formula for the daughters to drink after they were weaned. I had tons of milk...made homemade yogurt which I froze and whipped up with fresh fruit to make frozen yogurt...that's the only way I would eat any if that milk, lol..it was so good! Goats milk is better for people because it's easier to digest & more " fit " for babies, kids due to the size/growth comparison verses that of a cow. I can't remember all the reasons off the top of my head but I read about it in Adelle's books and in other nutrition books that I had way back then...20+ years ago, lol.. Goats are funny...very funny & have great personalities...the babies were adorable...jumped around like they had springs on their feet! They take a lot of care, need to be de-wormed, hooves need to be trimmed, they have to have shelter and be kept dry or they get pneumonia. Loved them! They don't eat cans, lol...but they did eat my garden full of Gladiolas...all 100+ of them, lol! Guest guest
What a fun story! Thanks for sharing. I have always wanted a milk cow, but my dh says no. He's probably right. It would really tie us down. Debbie Re: Re: Weight problem??/milk I don't like milk...never have, lol...But I did raise a couple of dairy goats. Guest guest
I just saw bits and peices......enough to make me rather angry......it was so stupid!.......oh dear!.....OT Re: Weight problem??/milk > What a fun story! I only saw it once...and really am not too thrilled with those little rich, overindulged girls..but I had to laugh out loud when they were milking cows and getting up in the still dark morn - a time when they would normally go home after partying and to bed...since I mYself am a bit of a hot house flower and not at all into strife, I could relate...LOL
