Guest guest
Hi : I looked up Becker's website & it sounds as if the Becker Band is active. Here's a link to their website http://www.beckerortho.com/cranial/cranial.htm Active bands apply mild pressures to non flat sides of the child's head to help redirect growth into the flat areas. Passive helmets do not apply pressures and are simply made into the rounded shape for the baby's head to grow into over time thru growth spurts. Typically, passive helmets are best in younger infants when they're growing so much. Active helmets/bands are better for " older " infants as their growth has slowed down, so the pressures often help speed up the rounding. HTH. Good luck getting the helmet Thurs!
