Guest guest
Hi everyone! Welcome newcomers, although has many have already said, I am sad that you have to be here! I have attached a copy of our twins and our 2 1/2 year old! They are growing like crazy! WIth two new babies around I haven't had much time to write but I try to read all of the posts! MIchael is doing well...he has his 6 month check up with his hep. in a few weeks. I do have a question for those of you taking high dose Urso. Has anyone noticed that since taking an increase in bowel movements/diarhea? seems to have this but maybe it is just his UC starting up since we never even knew that he had this before. Thanks to all of you who continue to offer support and knowledge on a daily basis! Your help is greatly appreciated!!! ~ Wife of , PSC '02, UC 02, Mommy to Madeline 2 1/2, and 6 months
Guest guest
- I take 3500 mg of Urso daily and have not noticed any change to bowel movements. Diarhea is a stated side effect of Urso but it is hard to tell whether it is related to the Urso or UC. Obviously keep an eye out for signs of blood in the stool and ask his doctor at his 6 month followup. It has not been an issue for me but we all react differently to various substances. in Seattle > > I do have a question for those of you taking high dose Urso. Guest guest
, beautiful, cute kids, thanks for sharing. I don't take Urso, but used to. I had to stop because it not only caused increased diarrhea, abdomenal pain, but caused a seepage for of fecal incontinence. The seepage problem was definitely caused by the urso, only had that problem when I was on it. Hard to tell about diarrhea when you have active UC. I experimented with my Urso use and finally convinced my doctor that it was the cause of my extra problem. He then said that we would stop it for now 9 (that was about 8 or 9) months ago. I dont' have that problem anymore. Someone else in this group also had trouble with Urso. Don't remember who it was though. It didn't help my itching either. It did however lower my enzymes--not to normal--but lower. However, my enzymes go up and down with no rhyme or reason, so who knows.
