Guest guest Posted May 26, 2003 Report Share Posted May 26, 2003 Hello! My name is Lorinda. New member here. Just starting WW for, I believe, my 8th time. (Better to start over than not start at all!) Just like a bicycle - if you want to ride a bike and you fall off - get right back on and sooner or later, with time, patience, and practice you will learn how and will be buzzing along! This time is definitely different - mother also joined so I have support system there and, since she is going through same thing at the same time, eating out and at their home is much easier as we are, in essence, watching out for each other. Went grocery shopping together, too, which helped as we gave tips and products each of us tried and liked. Plus, have to lose weight medically now, so it's not just losing for appearance sake or dress sizes - it really is a health issue now, as I have a few health problems and potential risks that make it, basically, mandatory that I lose weight. This is for LIFE - literally! I believe knowing what I know now and the support system I have that I will make my goal in the future, whatever day that is - it's tomorrow and has not been written for me yet. Today is today and that's what I need to work on. One day at a time, one step at a time, and yes, even one pound (or fraction of) at a time!! And as long as I head in the right direction, that's truly what matters most. WOOHOO!! Today is my 7th day on plan, so no weigh in being Memorial Day. Will weigh in next Monday and see what 2 weeks on plan have accomplished! I'm just trying to surround myself with as many " connections " as I can to change my way of thinking and help make it " stick " , so I signed up for some ideas and encouragement along my trip!
