Guest guest
Hi Gail, Just reading that article you posted scared the b-gezz out of me! How do you prevent `slippage'. What with the US FDA trials in place and a few months under their belts it seems that we are seeing a lot more Lap Band patients coming out with problems. I know that the newness to this operation ie the trial doctors, is a contributing factor but what would be some warnings to others NOT to do because it may cause slippage? Now that you have been banded twice, what helped you make the decision to band again as opposed to having something else done? Hi , you've been rebanded too? My goodness, could you tell me why you had to be redone and what made your decision to do it for the second time opposed to a different type? Well if the truth be known we had a lifer in university who used up our retirement fund LOLOL, 27 years old and my husband begged him to leave. Our second youngest daughter who is 26 is still in university part time and works full time, we learnt our mistakes LOLOLOL. She lived at home until she was 21. We gave up because two of them started their families and thought that we would be available to babysit since we still had a young one ourselves, so we moved away as far as it takes to have them come and go in one day. You have to be careful with this thought because too far means they all stay over night!!! I guess for once in my life I just a life! Like to meet up with my best friend and lover and do stuff together with out the kids in the conversations. I know that is why this band means so much to me and has such emotions attached to it's success. I have just gained this weight and unable to even walk let alone go on trips and walk and sight see. Now that I have the band in place I just have to figure out and/or find a doctor that can fill tilted ports with ease. That just seems like it should be the lesser of the evils – right?
