Guest guest
Hi Joan. Depression and PSC. OK you have read the medical thinking on this disease which basically goes we haven't got a clue but it might be etc., and by the way you will probably need a transplant. And your chances of getting one!!!! , then blaa blaa blaa. Not to mention the recurrence of psc . Then Hook in all the pit falls of anti rejection drugs etc. Look Joan I do not come from the Robbins side of the fence. I do not look at this as a fantastic opportunity to Enhance my life. Do the things I have been putting off etc. I spoke with my docs about this subject 2 weeks ago. I asked about anti depression medication. The result of this talk is that the docs would pre fare me to take more holidays and time off work on medical grounds as a way of keeping me normal. Normal with a very abnormal disease. It is normal to be p****d off with a long term illness and you have one now. p*****d off or depressesd what ever you want to call it comes with the knowledge of having this disease. And if anybody comes on line and says that they are happy that they have been diagnosed with this, then ask what they are smoking at the time. You have a life threatening diagnoses which means it is normal not to feel good about it. Not feeling good , P****d off , depressed what ever you want to call it its a normal reaction. The next time you talk to that doc ,say to him/her , listen pal or palless , how would you feel with this diagnoses??????? hanging over your head ??????? And see what words they use , fantastic, over joyed , life enhancing I dont think so )))))))))))))))))))))) I am off on my 2nd trip to thailand in 2 months because one day i wont be able to. Joan just my experience. I am really P****D off with this dx The more people address the mental part of this disease the better.
