Do you have a picture you can post so we can see what you mean?

What you're describing does sound okay and it's the same concern I

had when Hannah got her first band. Basically the band only touched

her head at her pressure points, which meant it " teetered " quite a

bit. In her photo album you can see the picture called " GAP " which

was taken just after we got her helmet. When she was laying down or

nursing it was worse like you described, but it looked fine when she

sat up. As long as it isn't leaving red marks and isn't over his

eyes or ears or twisting too much it's probably okay. I'm not sure

of his severity, but it seemed much looser with our first band when

Hannah was severe. This makes sense b/c there is more empty space

to fill. She had already corrected a good deal when we got the

second one so the gap was smaller and therefore had less room to

shift. I hope this makes sense!

The bands are made a little bit big, to allow room for growth. As you

know in the beginning of treatment it is very common to need an

adjustment or a few before the " perfect " fit is found. Call your

ortho, and let him/her know what is going on. It does sound like

normal movement though. Let us know.
