I guess you have already tried a rolled up receiving blanket under

the shoulder of the flat side? It causes the head to fall to the

other side.

Repo'ing is something I certainly won't miss about babyhood.

Kel,

I got tired just reading your post! It really brought back memories

of the struggles we endured while repo'ing Remy.

I know you have been giving it your all, and it must have been

wonderful not to have to worry about nighttime repo during that

week. It sounds like you are trying everything to repo at

night, and he is just not cooperating anymore :(

You can't go without sleep night after night, please take care of

yourself, and repo as you are able! I'm happy to hear about

his follow-up appt. in a week. Isn't it wonderful that you will

have an official scan with which to compare his progress??? I know

the results of that scan will be a huge help in your decision making

process. Although our eyes can play tricks on us, it is certainly

possible for regression to occur during repo, especially if there is

a growth spurt and challenging night time repo. Remember, helmets

and bands are out there as a treatment choice, and can do all of the

work all throught the night, while you and your baby get a good

night's rest. As is 7 months old already, and for optimum

treatment results, I would encourage you to recognize a fast-

approaching repo deadline, before which you should start some pre-

work for a helmet or band if you are open to considering this sort

of treatment.

I can so identify with the guilt. At one point, I remember

thinking, " I got Remy's head into this mess, and I'M going to get

her out of it! " The pain and exhaustion of aggressive repo was

almost cathartic for the guilt I felt remembering how many hours we

kept her in the swing, bouncie, carseat, etc. Eventually I came to

the realization that her head correction by any means was more

important than assuaging my guilt, so then and there I decided to

choose effective treatment for Remy, whatever it turned out to be.

I don't know if that's how you're feeling, I just wanted to share

how the guilt was in my life!!

You are an awesome mom for doing everything you can to help !

If repo doesn't turn out to be in the cards for you two, so be it -

there are so many wonderful parents in this group who have been down

that helmet/band road, and they will help, support, and inform you

every step of the way.

I hope you got some sleep, and take care,

Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)

I feel your pain! I think looking at the pictures makes you

crazier. I kept taking 's head shots every other day to see if

there was any improvement. Some days it looked much better, others it

looked worse.

It makes you second guess all the time. Finally, I stopped the crazy

picture taking and concentrated on taking an occasional video. Film

didnt seem to lie as badly :)

I agree with everybody else in that repoing is such a pain. It's

24/7 and a state of mind you have to be in. Honestly, having the band

sounds way easier. You don't have to freak all the time if they are

on their flat spot for two seconds! There is hope, however. It sounds

like you started repositioning fairly early so there is still time.

Good Luck!

Kel,

I feel for you! It can't be easy repoing a 7 month old. My hats off

to you, I know how much hard work repo is. The 10th will be here

before you know it. Please let us know how you make out.
