Guest guest
Welcome to the list, ! BTW - to make great low-carb breading for fried chicken many of us dip the chicken in an egg and cream mixture, then roll in finely crushed pork rinds to which I have added garlic powder. Slowly pan fry in oil. Even non-low carb company loves this.

Guest guest
Hi strother3, Nice to meet you and welcome to the group. If I can be of any help to you please let me know. How on earth could a dr cut the nerves instead of a tendon? Did the knife slip? I just don't believe what drs do. This is a terrible way to get RSD. I have two SCS's, one for my upper body and one for the lower. Does you SCS work for you? I hope you don't mind if I ask you something; I was just wondering how your dr knows that the RSD will only get worse. Please know that he has no way of knowing this at all. So please don't think this way. I don't know why some drs have to be so negative. I am glad that your insurance cvers your meds. That is a big plus. It is good to hear that someone got something good out of w/c. Take care and you are in my prayers. Hugs, babs
Guest guest
hi, Babs, the wrong cut was easy , it was endoscopic surgery, & their scope sometimes covers what they are supposed to be doing. as far as my dr. saying no remission, noone is totally sure of anything with this disease , but research on the net will also tell you early diagnosis is the key , i was not diagnosed for over two years .they kept trying to treat me for residual carpal, i had 4 surgeries on my hands & 1.5 yrs. of physical therapy & cortizone shots before i was refered to my rsd dr. Dr. Alo' is known nation wide & i have alot of faith in him. I am in the houston area & i've seen people from all over the U.S. in his office. he was one of the first drs. todo the scs. In fact he helped perfect it, & no mine does't help a lot , but it was connected to my hands so it can't help a lot for the rest of me.It's connected to the nerves in my spinal cord to my hands. Dr. Alo' is listed on the net for pain mgmt.tinstime@... wrote: Hi strother3, Nice to meet you and welcome to the group. If I can beof any help to you please let me know. Guest guest
Hi Michele and family, I don't know if I can help you or not. I can only tell you things that me and my family have done. It is hard for children to understand what their father is going through. But since they are not real young you do have an advantage. As you gather information it might be wise to inform them. ASk them if they have any specific questions about what their dad is going through. This always helped with our children, although they were young when I first started with RSD. But as they got older we were able to explain more and more so that they would be comfortable around me. I have two SCS's in. One for my upper body and one for the lower. I guess my first question would be does your husband get pain relief from the one he has in already. Also would his dr do a trial scs first? With the trial he will have a chance to see if it works before he says yes to getting in the real one. Another thing that really helped my husband and me was the fact that we went to a psychologist. I didn't want to at first but we really needed some help in coping not only with the RSD but also with each other. You may want to find one that deals with either RSD patients or chronic pain patients. This is important. AS far as you not wanting to say no to a treatment, well, it is good to discuss any treatment with each other, but in the end it is your husband that has to go through the sugeries. We always discussed everything that was to be done to me but in the end it was my decision whether to go through with it or not. I hope some of what I have told you helps. I know how hard it is for you to watch someone you love go through and deal with RSD. But if you keep the line of communication open in your family you will get through this ok. Take care and you and your family are in my prayers. Hugs, babs (unknown) Hello, Everyone Thanks everyone for responding to help us.please bare with me we just got this computer and I'm still learning about it there were a few of you that said there is a web site for caregivers could you please give it to me I accidently erase it and I would like to try it.And I do know that I'm not getting no answers from the doctor that he has I no this much it feels like I'm losing my husband very slow and it is hurting me knowing that I cant help him is there something I can do I have been rubbing his legs and and arms a lot the P/T said it would be good for him. I also have childer that dont understand what is going on with there dad and we have looked for some help for all of us the oldest is 19 and the youngest is 11 so if any body knows of someone that can help let me know. Also Jeff has memory loss bad and also panic attack is this caused from the RSD I love my husband with all of my heart and if any one can help me help him I would love the advise he means so much to me and I'm going crazy trying to help him but to scared to touch him knowing that it will hurt him. I know I will never know what he is going through but he was there for me and I want to be there for him please help if you can and also is there a nother good place to go to get information I love this place and I get alot and it seem to me this i9s the place to be he also has the stimulator in his back and know they want him to get one in his neck for the upper body and also they want him to get the morphine pump does any one have any Idea about that we have decussed it I dont want to say no because what if this does relief some of his pain and the other is what if it is just another thing he has to deal. So any help would be wonderful sorry I ask to many question but I cant get the doctors to help so I need some help from some one and who best then other people who know from experinse. Guest guest
Hi Joann, Thanks! I love that carpet too. And get this, it is one of the least expensive carpets in our home. The ones we spent thousands on are not near as nice as this one. Glad you liked it. My puppy is here beside me while I am typing and our dog, Max, is in the bedroom with my husband. I guess you could say we both have a dog now of our own. Take care and have a good night. Guest guest
AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! He is SO ADORABLE!!! lol, looks like he's made himself at home already too....which didn't take him long! Now, I'll trade ya for a kitten who is at this moment using my furniture for her race track.....she starts at one end of the living room, runs clear around the back of all the furniture, down the steps to the basement, back up, and attacks the other kitten and starts all over again! all night.... And, somehow, Sami sleeps on the couch, right thru it all! lol....amazing. Guest guest
Hi Tonia, that sounds so cute with your cat. Isn't it funny how kids don't ever want to go to sleep but when they do they don't hear anything. Our dog has really made himself at home too. He bugs Max all the time. And Max is so nice to him he just takes it. Take care and have a good night. Hugs, babs Re: (unknown) AAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
