Guest guest
I would like to know if you have 3oz of chicken worth 3 points, if I eat 6oz does that make it 6 points? Someone told me that just becuase you double the portion does not mean that you double the points.
Guest guest
Something like chicken, where you don't have the nutritional information, then yes. If it is something that you have the calories, fiber and fat for, then when you add them then figure points, sometimes it comes out less than doubling the points of 1 serving, but not normally. But that also works in reverse, something that is 0 points when the serving is doubled makes it have points. -- Double portions I would like to know if you have 3oz of chicken worth 3 points, if I eat 6oz does that make it 6 points? Guest guest
Usually, when something has lots of fiber, that's when doubling the points is dangerous. Say, one serving has 125 calories, 4 grams of fat, and 4 grams fiber - that's 2 points. If I double the serving, is that 4 points? No, its' 5 points. Why? --- because I have to figure 250 calories, 8 grams of fat and still 4 grams of fiber. I can't double the fiber because I'm capped at 4. Since fiber brings the point count down, I lose this benefit Mitch wrote: > Something like chicken, where you don't have the nutritional information, > then yes.
