Just read it - thank you - I wonder why but will not question it. I

will hang in there. It also says, on page 52, that many cases of

celiac (along with others) appear to be cured by the end of a year. I

have suspected that my son might be celiac but did not want to put him

back on grain for such a test. (I know that there is another test,

but would need to search that out - not something that Kaiser knows

about. We will hang in there with what has been working.)

Hi Lynette,

The three month flare is fairly common. (I had it) It is mentioned near the

the top of the last page of chapter 8 of BTVC.

Until he is over this it will probably be best to limit his diet to more

basic foods - peeled and cooked veggies, fruit and meats. ALso can you use

almond flour or pecan flour at least for now, Elaine has written that there

are more carbs in cashew flour then any of the other nuts.

Could you please clarify this about there being more carbs in cashew flour?

Hi Micheele,

What Elaine has written is that there are more carbs in cashews then

other nuts and that, " I would not use them for about two months

after beginning SCD. "

It is better to start with pecan or almond if possible.
