Guest guest
My name is , my son Ryel is 14 mons adjusted age (he was 2 mons premature). I posted here a while back since Nov last year, the replies were extremely helpful at a time when we had no idea what to expect. I beg for your help once again. Ryel was fitted in Nov 03 and is in his second Doc Band. We have been denied twice by BCBS of FL and are now going on state appeal. Our employer has a consulting firm who will be assisting us with this appeal. The consultant, Steve Manning, would very much like to contact as many people in this support group as possible to try to build a case to reverse the denial. He feels that presenting cases/experiences of the effectiveness of the Doc Band will be very beneficial. We have been denied because of experimental/investigational, not medically necessary and cosmetic. Would anyone be willing to share your experience with Steve via email so we can present a supported front to BCBS of Florida? If you are willing to share your experience would you send your email address to me so I can forward it to him or you can contact him or me directly at the addresses below: Marin - amarin35@... Steve Manning - swmanning2k4@... I would very much prefer if he could join the group as there is sooooo much information here that I think he can use but I am not sure if there is any protocols of who is allowed to join or who to even ask about letting Steve join. Your help and support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Marin Ryel's Mom (DocBand 11/10/03) Pensacola, FL

Guest guest
Thanks, Steve should be joining the group. Thanks also to all other members who sent me replies that it was okay for Steve to contact them via email. This group is so helpful, I can't begin to express my gratitude. I don't always have time to post (and am a bit shy) but I always am reading messages. Thanks again.
