Guest guest
There was a Dr. in this group.....Dr. Spiegal????? or something like that......that highly recommends the HBOT. If he's reading this, I remember he is from Florida...... Tonia -- Re: Digest Number 1504 Hi Deb, I asked my doctor about the ketamine drip and he said he worked on a trial at the Mayo Clinic and that relief only lasts as long as the medicine. He was more concerned with the side affect, what your doctor calls dementia, I a m told manifests itself mostly with thoughts that you are dying. He thinks that with my sensitivity to drugs right now I would be foolish to be involved with any kind of trial. I also mentioned thalidomide to him but just got a wave at that. Also strangely enough there is a man, not sure if Doc or Chiropractor, who has a coup le of billboards advertising for people with RSD to come to his hypoberic chamber. First, I didn't think there where enough people around Tampa that it would pay to put up two billboards for RSD and secondly I don't remember if anyone on the list had any luck with this procedure. I am told that insurance wont pay and that he charges a lot for a treatment. Of course with the RSD spreading into both hands and feet I would try anything if I thought it would stop the RSD without affecting my quality of life. If I do reject this stimulator most likely the morphine pump is also out of the question so there will really be nothing left but medication.
