I know we are having an informal meeting, but for the life of me have no

idea as to the date. , this is where you come in.

As to a meeting place, the school is very convenient to all but if we are

unable to meet there I am sure we can come up with somewhere.

My recollection is that the meeting was set for the 23rd to accommodate

someone's schedule--Gail's maybe? I am sure it was the 23rd though.

Does that work?

So........... what's it going to be, people? the 16th or the 23rd? This is

the first I've heard about the Jan meeting, guess I left to go to bed too

early last time. Could someone please repost the address a little closer to

the date, as well? I'm not sure whether I can make it, but certainly will

try if I'm in town.

As for where future meetings can be held....... if not at the school, then I

agree with whoever suggested it that The Avenue would be a good venue if

they'll allow it....... and I really can't see why they wouldn't.

I called Kathy Noble today to make a date for my first fill, and told her

how panicky I'm feeling about the amount I can eat at this early stage......

asked her to find out what's the earliest I could possibly get

started........ she put me on hold while she asked the Prof and he said I

could come in this Friday...... wow....... less than 3 weeks post-op. I was

very surprised, but grateful I don't have to sweat my way through another

three weeks. My appoinment's at 3.30..... anyone else going to be around

then?

Hey folks....... what do you say about letting back onto the list? A

fresh start for a fresh year? Bygones, and all that? Do I have a seconder?

Hi Guys,

(cakes variety) hit the nail on the head. I'll be back in time for the informal meeting

on 23rd January. I hope to be able to pop in to the Brisbane Meeting on 13th while I'm away.

If the 23rd now doesn't suit everyone just let me know. I'll be back to read emails on Mon 22nd.

If we must have a new place then this could be worked out I'm sure.

The old place was so convenient. The date for the 'informal' was 23rd.

Hope this is still ok. I'll be there if it's that date.

January Melbourne Meeting

I just remembered, there is going to be an "informal" meeting of MelbourneBandsters at the Cotton Lounge, 26 Toorak Road, South Yarra, for those whoare still in town and have a desperate need to see each other and talk aboutband stuff. This was arranged over the dying embers of the now legendaryAvenue Hospital Meeting in December with two freshly banded members inattendance. Can someone recall the date? Is it the third Tuesday as perusual ... the 16th? Otherwise, the next regular Melbourne meeting will be on the third Tuesdayin February, the 20th. I guess we have to start thinking about a newregular venue, as I no longer have a child at the school and may not be aschool councillor beyond April ... though I may be co-opted ... we'll see.Do people want a new place? Glad to hear your news of a pending fill. I can remember how anxious I was to

get my first fill and it was on 1.5 but there was only 2 weeks to wait in between, which

is not like the first time of getting 2.0 and waiting a month.

A seconder hear. I have no objections to letting back onto the list? She has never bothered

me. It's just all the silly nonsence and email I hate. I could not go through all those emails again. I want the

group to be what it is, a support group.

Re the Avenue as a venue for meetings. That's a great idea if the school is out.
