My son has been pee potty trained for a month thanks to this diet.

For the last three days he has been peeing on the floor, the couch

everywhere. He does not even know that he is doing it. It is like he

lost all his senses down there. Has this happened to anyone? I have

been giving him more avacado and carrots(which caused him sleeping

problems and hyper issues b-4.) Could a food do this. I am very

frustrated and tird of cleaning pee. Please help. Thank you,

(mom to London SCD 3 months)

Is he taking any magnesium? Some of us have found that bedwetting

resolved when we gave our kids magnesium. I know that's not exactly

the same thing as daytime incontinence, but perhaps related?

Also, in the past, I have associated increased urination and

especially bedwetting with die off (pre SCD, on various antifungals).

You can search the archives for bedwetting for past discussion of

the magnesium (around first of Jan I think?)

My son had been potty trained day and night for a full year prior to

starting SCD. Once we began SCD, he began wetting the bed multiple

times at night and he also had accidents during the day and had to go

very frequently. At times, he had extreme thirst.

What I discovered is that he was suffering from a magnesium

deficiency. I began giving him WaterOz magnesium supplement which

you can get from www.herbalremedies.com and it immediately resolved

the problem. Magnesium plays a role in muscle control, so when there

is a deficiency, the child cannot control the muscles that they go to

the bathroom with.

The main sources of magnesium are grains and nuts. We are not using

the nuts and that is why we had the problem with the deficiency.

Also, I had tried giving epsom salt baths and magnesium oxide in a

capsule form and this did not resolve the problem. For some reason,

he is only able to absorb a liquid form of magnesium and that is why

I use the WaterOz. It is SCD legal.

If you go to www.enzymstuff.com and look under nutrient/supplements,

you will find a section on magnesium that gives lots of information

about the most absorbable forms.

My thoughts would be die-off, or a food intolerance. I'm pretty new as far as

SCD but die-off and food intolerances I've been dealing with for years. Just my
