Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for asking me to share my TR story, it has sent me down memory lane. I had a tubal ligation on 4-6-95, the same day my daughter was born. I was pretty mad at the world back then. I didn't know how I was going to raise 3 kids virtually alone. I was divorced, my 2 sons ages 15 & 12 belong to my ex-husband. My daughter age 7 was the result of a 5 yr relationship, and her father was about as low as they come, plus he was cheating on me. To complicate matters, my middle child was diagnosed with autism, a social/behavioral disorder. I finally wised up and ditched the boyfriend and somehow coped....... never ever thinking that I would ever want another relationship, I had been burned so badly, twice. I opened my heart to , a wonderful man I met in 2000. He had been married before too, but had no children. He told me he wanted to have a child, and my heart ached so badly that we couldn't have one together. In March 2002, I found Dr. Levin on the Internet. I was so happy, I couldn't believe he was right here in KY, where I live! Next, I wondered how on earth could we find that kind of money? I was able to refinance my home, and actually came out a lot better rate wise. I had bought my home when I was single and 20 yr old, never realizing how much the value had increased or how a decision I made 17 yrs ago to purchase a home, would give us the miracle we needed now. My TR surgery was on May 16 and my tubes were 7 cm. each. We got PG. 4 months later! I'm still kinda in shock. To go for so many sad years thinking I could never have another child to this IS simply amazing! After my TR surgery, I felt like I was whole again. When I sterilized myself, it was at a desperate time in my life. The ironic thing is, I was celibate for years afterward! <G> My whole life has changed for the better the last couple years!!!! I have a wonderful partner who treats me like a Queen and the kids as if they were his own. We are in the middle of a huge addition to our house too. <couldn't be at a better time> LOL! I know everybody is gonna say, " you're still not married? " Don't worry.........we will. We were going to wait until we were married to ttc, but we're not getting any younger. I just turned 38 and he turns 39 next mo. I was using these fertility tests to see if I was ovulating. They give you a 24-48 advance notice. Well, my honey was out of town and by the time he got home, I thought it would be too late....... ........WRONG! But we're tickled..........and SO HAPPY! My DR appt today was short and sweet, all he did was write out the lab orders and told me how rare it was to succeed after tubal reversal. <He isn't familiar with Dr. Levin, is he?> Hugs, E from KY
