Maybe if we all get a note from our doctors explaining we have RSD, what we take for meds etc. And that we will have times were the pain is not helped with regular meds., then we will not be treated like junkies. Most ER's doctors are not familiar with RSD at all I have found. What stinks the most is having to wait for them to evaluate us, then maybe if we are lucky we will get that shot for pain That is my advise, get a note from the doctor. I have one, as I said, that shows what I take for meds and it also states I have rsd. I think it did help when I went to the ER for the meningitis. ( I also think nurses are more versed on most things more than doctors are, so I save my breathe and tell the nurse, let her explain it to the doctor.) I have always felt nurses are smarter than doctors! Hugs and a pain free minute, Deb (Deborah Genatossio)
