Guest guest Posted August 25, 2003 Report Share Posted August 25, 2003 Ok, I'm not exactly sure about this, but, I have been having some major pain in my lower right side of my back...like around my kidney? Its above the hip area. I do have the RSD in this area.....my whole right leg, hip, lower back, upper back, both shoulders, right arm down into hand and my hand, plus my thumb on my left hand. I also have Fibromyalgia. So.....what I'm trying to figure out here is this: How the heck would I know if I have a Kidney infection? This only hurts when I am laying down, like all night, and go to get up in the morning......it hurts in that spot really bad, cause I have to go to the bathroom really bad. It doesn't burn, itch, or anything else when I do go though........which is why I'm stumped. Ok, another thing. On my god awful huge chest that I'd love to get rid of..... I've been getting some weird blisters. Not the RSD blister stuff, but not normal blisters either. I've been thinking that maybe they are heat blisters......here is what they look like: tiny usually, some are fluid filled, some are just air, most are clear colored, some are white, a few are red. NOW though, I've started getting these annoying things on my shoulders on my back! What I hate about them though are that they ITCH!!!! Just having them wouldn't bother me any if they wouldn't itch like hell. So, anyone got a clue if they are just a type of Heat Blisters or some other kind? I know that they don't sound anything like the RSD Rash.....athough on my chest I do have one heck of a rash that just loves to bust open and bleed like crazy! I do have a powder my doctor told me about that helps with it.....called "Zeasorb-AF ( Miconazole Nitrate 2%)" Made by Stiefel. Its OTC, and actually works pretty great! Not that expensive either.....a 2.5oz bottle cost me $7. But, can someone please at least help me about the Kidney part??? This is about to kill me pain wise!!!!! It might be a kidney infection especially if you are having to go to the bathroom all the time. And I mean all the time. I had a kidney infection last fall and the only symptom I had was pain where yours is and also having to go to the bathroom all the time. No burning or anything else. I was so shocked when my dr tested my urine and it had blood in it. So take it from me go and get checked to make sure it is not an infection. They are hard to get rid of when you have RSD. I hope you feel better soon. AS far as the blisters are concerned, they probably are from the heat. I get a kind of blister also that fills up with fluid and my dr said it was from the heat. And boy you are right they itch really bad. Gee I hope you can get some sleep tonight with this bothering you. TAke it easy ok. Mine gives me the most problems when I am in certain positions... sitting for any length of time, rolling over, etc. You may be pinching a nerve, too. But, get the Dr. to do some kidney testing, make sure that the meds aren't causing any problems, too. Its above the hip Hi Tonia, It could be a medication thing, are you drinking plenty of water. We are supposed to drink a full glass every time we take medication I find that if I don't drink enough I get that type of pain. As for the bumps on your chest, maybe it is the medication? Did you have these before taking the pain meds? It could be just heat I don't know what to tell you. Either way I hope you call the doc about the kidney part. Guest guest Posted August 26, 2003 Report Share Posted August 26, 2003 Hi Tonia, go to a doctor re pain kidney infections are hard to pick up and the damage is longlasting.Re rash sounds like shingles. Your under alot of stress and if you do have kidney problems shingles do appear. You need a thing which is called calamine lotion in NZ.Also any antihistime strong creme will help if its shingles.
