Thanks for showing us your dog. Animals truly are a blessing for your soul. Socks (cat) is getting pretty comfortable in visiting us during the night. And the way to get in the middle is to walk OVER me--none of this "jumping up at the end" and not bothering anyone! And then when she lays down she bumps up against me with her back. I don't wake up enough to let it bother me or I would be kicking her out.

Hi Babs, Here is my baby! An english springer spaniel, almost 3years old named Sierra. She is my best friend really knows my good days and bad and will treat me accordingly. Dogs are smart like that aren't they? This pic was taken in the morning, when I get out of my bed, she gets in it! lol She is a slug in the morning, but then keeps going and going all day. Hi Deb G., I love the picture of your dog. a friend of mine has one exactly like that. And yes my dog knows when I am not feeling well too and is right by my side no matter what kind of mood I am in. I wouln't be without a dog. Never had a dog when I was a kid. Our first dog just arrived on our doorstep one day and the kids loved him and we decided to keep him. From that point on we were hooked on dogs for pets. Max, my dog, sprawls out on our bed too, but only when my husband is not home. He knows that he does not like him on our bed so as soon as he hears him come home he get right off. AS soon as I figure out how to send pictures on my computer I will send you one of my dog too. We have digital camera so it is not hard to download them onto the computer. I just have not tried to send pictures yet. There is so much to learn that my brain hurts. But it's alot of fun. Hi , Sounds like your cat likes to cuddle in bed. My dog, Max, comes in every morning when he thinks I should wake up. Usually a bit too early for me but he does not give in. He comes close to the side of the bed that I am on and puts his mouth against my ear and starts this heavy breathing until I finally get up. Aren't pet just wonderful. Take care and have a good day. Socks is very "people oriented." The people that I had watching her for two weeks said she was pretty miserable the last few days--crying pitifully. If I get in a chair with leg rest, she crawls right up and snuggles in with me. I wanted a cuddly cat--I got one!

Oh that is excellant. Congratulations, I got a cat eleven years ago that people refer to as the cat from HECK (well not really HECK but you get the drift)!!!!!!!! I love her dearly but she HATES everyone that is not a family member. She does great with my dogs thank the Good Lord. She just hates everyone else. Hi Babs, I am going to butt in here because that is one of the things I do best LOL!!!!!!! I have a saying no offense anyone "The more I see of people, the more I like animals" now I mean no disrespect by this saying but it just happens to be true. I have been spending a lot of time crying this week for a lot of different reasons and I feel like the leader of the pack for my three dogs and yes my cat won't leave me alone. Now, I am not complaining and if I could have a house full I would but, they hate it when I am upset. They are not use to it and they just do not get it. I tell you they are definately my heart and my soul and when Blue my fish left this week, it was like losing a child. I know people that are not what I call "animal people" don't get this but, I just cannot get rid of this feeling of loss. He will have to have a predisecor soon. Not to take his place for no one could but, to make my house a home again.

Hi Dawn, You know I was a little afraid to say how much I love my dog and just animals in general. I thought maybe someone would tell me to shut up. But I can't help it that is the way I feel. When my oldest son was 7 years old he was hit by a car and we almost lost him. I heard the car's brakes screech right in front of our house. My first thought was oh no it was our dog. I ran out of the house into the front yard and looked down the hill to the road and here was my son laying there. I just couldn't believe it. I had nightmares about that day for a very long time and still to this day when I see children playing close to the road I shutter. But when my son came home our dog at that time would not leave his side. He was like a little caretaker. Or a nurse. And that is how our dog, Max, is and has been with me. He won't leave my side if he thinks I am in any sort of pain. I am sorry about your fish. I was so attached to a goldfish once and when it died we had to have a funeral by the toilet bowl. Now I laugh at it when I think about that moment but at that time I was in tears. I haven't had any fish since then. Just think if there was not a sole on this earth people wise who loved you your pets would love you unconditionally. Take care and have a good night. hey its like the dogg nana in Hook or peter pan.. my

cats like that and if anything wqould to happen to her

i would be crush i know that it would be like losing a

child.. i love her more than anything and she is

always by my side.. this will sound silly but if my

cat is in any kid of pain or if anyone is mean to her

i cry cause it hurts thats my baby.. i am so glad i am

not the only one who loves there pets unconditionally

and have their pets l,ove them back jsut the same...

Babs,

Makes me shudder to hear your story about your son. I wouldn't let my daughter cross Rt. 36 on her bike for a LONG time because it's so dangerous and I was afraid of her being hit. We had a real strange intersection that no one could figure out, including some out of town cops! They finally did what I had suggested--tore down a building and got the road curved to make an almost "regular" intersection. You are sure not alone on loving a pet and knowing the grief you'd experience. The only animal I didn't feel sad over was the last hamster. She was mean and so I didn't get to hold it. So all I ever did was clean a stinkin' cage of an unfriendly hamster! It was a challenge to even get her out to be able to clean it! I don't mind cleaning after the cat because she's so sweet!

Hi , well my son was not allowed to cross the street either but he saw the mailman come and decided he would anyway. That was a big mistake. This road is very busy even though we live in the sticks. I don't blame you for not crying over that hamster, I wouldn't either. We had a parakeet like that one time and I hated to clean his cage. I couldn't catch him for nothing when it was time to clean it. And he used to sqawk at me all the time. I hate to say this but luckily he died young. Take care and have a good night.
