Guest guest
Hi Barb You will be seen by one of their consultants at first who will access your condition. It took me 12 months to get to be evaluated. They then have you at the QE for a week to get full test and condition for tx.They also councel you about what happens during tx and the wait. If you are considered fit enough and the liver is poor enough you are listed and then you go to clinic every six weeks till transplant. please let us know when you have the weeks evaluation because we will visit you if you would like. transport issues are a problem many patient come from all over the country catching trains seem favorite. Can your Gp help? I overheard that a doctor can help with transport.Iam next at the QE on the 13th of march I am also booked for an endoscopy at the JR in april and clinic there on 16 may.Barbara you must re apply for the DLA and contact the NACC for help and get Citizens advice bureau to help you fill in the forms and support you in your appeal you will need this money to help with the travelling costs and to pay for care if you need it. Unless you are paying for transport costing £144 per week you don't qualify I am worried about you Love Alison &
