Guest guest Posted October 22, 2008 Report Share Posted October 22, 2008 I store mine in pint size " can or freeze " glass ball jars with the replacement plastic lids (since the metal ones they come with contain BPA). I don't know what kind of plastic they are made of, but Ball does state they are BPA free. IMHO, #2 (HDPE) plastic is the ideal, if you're going to use plastic at all. #4 (LDPE) and #5 (PP) aren't that bad either, but neither is fermentation grade.
