hey darin!

transplants can be wonderful things whenever they happen with success, but speaking from personal experience, i think it's so great to have txs/rebirthday celebrations in the months of november or december... gives new meaning to "thanksgiving" or a Christmas "gift." :-))))) our thanksgiving was especially sweet back in '01... as jim and jason's LRTx evaluations had concluded, and their surgeries had finally been scheduled for 12/7. you can imagine how we were all so relieved to finally see light at the end of the "waiting-for-transplant" tunnel. it was an especially meaningful Christmas, too, as we had no idea we'd be approved to return to our home in time to celebrate... an intact family, with jim on his way to a restored quality of life.

and oh, darin, no way can anyone steal YOUR thunder ;-)
