The one I got is sweet (mild) and it is smoked. Smoked paprika comes from smoked and dried peppers. It might be hot if it's made from hot peppers. Sweet paprika is make from red bell pepper. Since it is a single spice and not a mixture, I would think that it's ok. Since it's made from peppers, it's high in salicylates though, so we stay away from it. I have hungarian paprika - which I think is sometimes referred to as sweet paprika and that is fine.
