Guest guest
, From what I hear, most of the male population prefer horizontal too. (sorry, I can't control my fingers...they just type what they want) Connie Moderator, USA Re: thank you all~ Someone has probably answered this, but I was out of town last night and am playing catch-up. As I understand it, when you lie down, the blood and kidneys work together better. Today, I had a dentist appointment and was in the chair for 3.5 hours. I went to the bathroom 3 times. I hardly go 3 times in a whole day! Goes to show, for us kidney diseased folk, horizontal is better! :-) thank you all~ Hello everyone, Hope you had a great Easter... I'm so glad I found this site, where I can share common interests/problem... and thank you , , , Pierre and others who welcomed me... As usual, I carry out my daily routine except for business travel more than 3 days... etc. I'm afraid transplant office might find a donor for me during my absence. I've been taking many medications, including predisone(60mg/day), Phoslo, fishoil, nephro-vite, sodium citrate, altace(10mg/day), sodium polystyrene sulfonate and procreate shots(4x/month), etc. I stopped taking the predisone after I found out it was doing more harms than goods. I have one question, why do I have such frequent urination at night? Anyone having a similar problem? Thanks,

Guest guest
Gosh , Thank you for the genuine compliment! I also laugh everyday when I read messages from this board, since everyone has their own sense of writing and style. I personally believe that laughter is healthy and can aid in the healing process. Enjoy your day! Connie Re: thank you all~ Someone has probably answered this, but I was out of town last night and am playing catch-up. Guest guest
Connie, You have such a wonderful sense of humor. I crack up when I read your emails. At least even though you may have lost control of man and beast, you can get a good nights sleep when he is snoring on the couch instead of in your ear right next to you :-)
Guest guest
I prefer horizontal for sure. It's the most comfortable way to watch the hockey playoffs on TV Pierre Re: thank you all~ > > > Someone has probably answered this, but I was out of town last night and am > playing catch-up. Guest guest
Yeah I agree , My husband sleeps on the sofa with the remote control tightly clutched in his fingers. I have to pry them open to change the channel. Plus, he snores so loud the dog won't even sleep beside him, she goes into our room and gets into MY bed! In addition, the bird just learned a new sound and it sounds speciously like a snoring man sleeping on the sofa. I have lost complete control over man and beast! Guest guest
The Transplant coordinator says she is out, but Kitty is not giving up yet. She turned in another 24 hour today. She should hear something by sometime Thursday. If she does have Protein again, I think the Nephrologist is going to treat her as if she has this disease. If she would be just showing though, I would think that she will be one of the few who doesn't go to end stage. Is that not a bummer? Guest guest
Oh , You must have nerves of steel to be making it through this. I would be reduced to whimpering puppy from this long term cycle of waiting and disappointment. I hope this last ditch effort pays off.... Guest guest
That would be too bad, . But then, even a trace of proteinuria might leave the donor in trouble with only one kidney later on. I know my brother has gone through just about every test in the book. I think they want to be absolutely sure there is no mild form of IgAN, given the possible genetic link. If it doesn't work out for you this way, maybe you will get lucky on the waiting list. A lot of people do, you know. Best of luck, no matter how it works out. Guest guest
Thanks , Humor is really a strange thing, but when you type something you don't really know if people will read it as it's intended or not. I would never ever intentionally offend anyone. By the way, I forgot to mention the sleeping on the sofa is for the 2 hours before he's ready to come into bed to snore in my ear! For some reason he thinks it's music to my ears! Have a nice day! Connie Re: thank you all~ Connie, You have such a wonderful sense of humor. I crack up when I read your emails.
