Guest guest
Sorry about my second post on STREP..I am very nervous right now..I'm sitting here with Keflex wondering if I should presumptively treat my son for it since he had a recent exposure from our neighbor's child (as has my NT daughter)..I am in the midst of a cross country move in 5 days so I have time to see our DAN or get labs at the moment and not quite sure what to think.. I thought it might be the AMPHO B but for some reason he's walking around like he's never had any yeast intervention (and we just completed month one of nystatin/caprilyic acid and gse) and he seemed to look less bloated and several other improvements..but now his belly is disstended, more tip toe walking (which is how he was prior to any antifungals). Can anyone share with me the tests involved for STREP? My son actually had strep earlier this year but had a severe reaction to azithromycin and I believe we never attempted another antibotic because he seemed to be fine by then (We knew nothing about biomed back then let alone PANDAS as my son was just diagnosed at that time). I can't get in to see our DAN or get labs done at the moment but I want to as soon as we're settled and find a new DAN..for now I am worried about PANDAS if it is strep and I don't treat it..
