Guest guest
Hi Christy, Have you had a biopsy? Please forgive me if you mentioned it earlier and I didn 't catch it, but I'm not terribly swift today. My son (MPGN, not IgAN) also has depressed C3 and C4. Hypocomplementia also goes along with (1) lupus and (2) acute glomerular disease caused by strep. A family I know (once again MPGN, not IgAN) has gotten their C3 back to normal after a year and a half of high dose prednisone. Good luck working the military medical system. The upside is that absent emergency conditions, all of the C3 related diseases don't require prompt treatment! What autoimmune issues did you have when you were pregnant? Welcome! Cy > HI Connie, > Thanks for the welcome. > I have been recovering from a tonsillectomy. Was very interested in the reading about the additional benefit I may have from this. > Went to follow up with my Family Practice Doctor and found out that she has been sent to Iraq. So, I did see another Family Practice Doctor who wanted some more lab work done since my C3/4 were low. Working the military medical system is a difficult one to maneuver. > What is interesting about this is that my oldest son has Selective IgA deficiency. I also had some autoimmune problems with my last pregnancy 11yr.ago. So,no this diagnoses is no surprise. > > After reading the stories from others, I am trying to maintain a good attitude and 'fight' through the fatigue. > > Kristy > >
