Guest guest
Hi, My son's testosterone (not technically that, but something called SHBG...Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (which is related somehow to testosterone) is off the charts. He is eight, with " PDD NOS " . He is always touching his crotch, looks like he has to go potty all the time. He goes in his room to do this alone as he is now beginning to understand it's inappropriatness. His level is so high it is over that of any boy in any stage of puberty or manhood.....any ideas? Thanks!
Guest guest
You can research Dr Geirs work regarding high testosterone.. He uses lupron which involves daily injections. It does lower testosterone quickly. The other option is to use spironolactone which is a prescription tablet that you take daily. Relatively safe and gently lowers testosterone. It may not lower testosterone enough even at the max dose. The only negative side effect is constipation which can be counteracted by taking oxypowder. Guest guest
If he is itching his crotch,my first thought would be tinea or fungus.I know about The Geirs.I know about the controversy around them, but has anyone come up with an alternate theory for autism in girls ?I on the other hand, have the opposite problem, unexplained and incomplete sexual development. My DAN! and I may have figured it out.Our current theory is that my hypothalamus was severely damaged during the meningitis that I had as a baby that triggered my autism.
