Guest guest
This message was on another List I subscribe to – I thought it might be of interest to somebody here, or at least a good idea to keep for future reference. I am writing to let you know about a new fundraising group dedicated to helping transplant patients and their families raise funds to cover their medical costs. There is no fee, and no time committment on the part of the patient or their family. We are simply looking for ways to help. We set-up fundraising bazaars in local (near the patients home) schools and churches with 30 to 40 independent sales representatives from home shopping companies such as Tupperware, Avon, Kay, Airbonne, Pampered Chef, etc. It is a one day event that can raise $3000 - $5000 for the patients medical fund. There is no catch, we don't charge a fee to the families. The sales reps earn our money through the products we sell and the opportunity to meet people who might want to become sales reps. Our set-up group gets paid by the sales reps when they purchase a table at the bazaar. I started this group because my daughter-in-law had a liver transplant. She ended up having to set-up fundraisers through the local Mcs, her church, and her parents friends. It sapped her energy. She needed to be getting well, not trying to figure out a way to pay for her medication. Unfortunately, passed away when the HepC attacked her new liver. We don't want to see others have to expend their energy at the cost of their health. Let me know if this is a program you would be interested in, or would be willing to pass the information along to your support group. You can contact me at bcmoga@... - FYI - we are currently doing these fundraisers in Illinois, but I would be happy to set it up anywhere.
