Guest guest
In New York State, physical therapy direct access became legal on 11/23/06. As a physical therapist working in New York, I did not notice any change in our profession. The home care agencies are still asking us to get prescriptions before treating Medicare and non-Medicare patients The nursing homes are doing the same. Out-patients are the same because of the insurance issues. For any one who is working in state that has direct access for long, would you please give us your experience regarding this matter and how we could benefit from this direct access legislation? Thanks
