Guest guest
Yes you can bill Medicare for another evaluation since the patient's dc status changed after a fall (?) and he has not been in your clinic for 3 months. Joyce ez, PT Provena Saint ph Hospital Rehab Services Department Elgin, IL ________________________________ From: PTManager [mailto:PTManager ] On Behalf Of windyskate Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2008 4:24 PM To: PTManager Subject: Medicare Evaluations I evaluated a Medicare patient in 11/2007 for lumbar radiculitis. He received some therapy, got better and was DC'd with a HEP in the same month. He is now returning with the same diagnosis. He said he was doing well until he lost his balance and reinjured his back. Can I bill Medicare for this evaluation? Or just the treatment? It has been approximately 3 months since I treated him the first time. Thanks, Yunker, PT American Health and Rehabilitation, Inc.
