Guest guest
Mornin' group! I was happy to have like the first appt. of the morning with my neuro. Don't know why, but I feel he's 'fresh' in the am! Nothing really new. He did note what I've noticed, some loss of strength in the upper right. He was perplexed about my right foot; told him I'm waiting on the rest of the x-rays, and all I know so far is heel spur. I really, really like my dr. he is very sweet. I made him some homemade pesto--with basil I'm growing in pots outside. I picked it fresh this am--we had some big storms, and the rain really grew loads of fresh, shiny leaves. I put pine nuts, fresh garlic, extra virgin olive oil, parmesean cheese and the basil in the blender and just blended it til smooth. I put it in a container for him; put it in a zip lock and in a brown bag. When I was leaving, I asked him if he likes pesto, and then when he said yes, handed him the bag. He gave me a nice smile. I had also made his secretaries banana walnut muffins--they were surprised. He gave me new prescriptions for Provigil and zanaflex (tizanidine). He also jotted down some names of psychiatrists; I think he knows my depression is continuing. We didn't speak about it though. He doesn't want me to increase my tegretol until I get a bloodlevel drawn first. I handed him a list of improvements I noted, and listed a bunch of things that are 'new'. Question for you all: how often do your neuros want to see you? After this visit, Dr. Decker said, ok, I'll see you in 4 months. Funny thing was, I had last seen him in April, and that time he wanted to see me in 2 months. Another time, it was, 7 months. Also, how often does your neuro order MRI's? Just curious. Ok, this is boring, and babbling and surely long enough a post! lol! love you all ,kate
