AC was out yesterday--it was 112!

I'm sorry I didn't get back here yesterday--I had planned to get all caught up on the group mail. The AC went out about 1:30 p.m. and it quickly got really hot inside. It was 112 degrees outside yesterday here in this inferno called the Sonoran Desert! My son and his wife were at work and I did everything I could think of. I reset the thermostat. I walked outside to listen to the AC unit twice to see if it was making any noise at all (it wasn't). I checked the breaker box twice and reset the breaker. We changed the filter. Arrgghhh! I had all the fans on, carried my little spray bottle with the fan on it and spritzed myself. The grandkids soaked dish towels and put them in the freezer to put around necks. It was miserable! I finally got in touch

with someone and they came at 7 p.m. The electric box on the AC had a fried fuse in it. What a small thing to cause such a major problem. Anyway, it was fixed and the house slowly started cooling off again. I don't have to tell any of you what the heat does to us MSers. Surprisingly, I'm doing pretty good today except for some deep spasms in my thighs. I slept okay.Anyway, that's my news. Today's forecast is for 112 again but then it's supposed to cool off a degree or two over the next few days. Believe me we are counting down the days until the summer monsoons start! I love the monsoons and I hope we get a lot of rain before we get a lot of lightening (so it won't cause forest fires). When the monsoons hit bringing the humidity we are all so happy because it brings our temps down to 105 normally. Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Sharon. How awful! Thank god your air is fixed now. I

cannot imagine the misery you must have dealt with

yesterday! Im glad you managed through it. I use to

love the monsoons. In fact I jus talked to my g-ma the

other day and she was saying the same thing, how she

cannot wait for the monsoons to come because its hot

as hell out there. I do not miss that at all. It can

reach past 120 were she is I do not know how we ever

lived out there. I cannot even tollerate this

sacramento heat,it will reach about 113 at the hottest

but then will cool off. Thank god that wont happen for

a lil wile longer. Im really a hermit but when the

heats that bad im more then a hermit.lol. Take it easy

today ok. And stay cool! Luv ya!

Good grief Sharon, and here I am complaining about 92 degrees. I

would have gotten butt naked and emptied the fridge and climbed

in!!!!! Hearing you say that you are looking forward to a

monsoon!!!!! LOL, for it to go from 112 to 105, do you really live in

a desert?

I'll never complain about how hot it is here again. I hope you stay

cool and the air stays working for you.

Hugs,

Peggy

<smiling> yes, Peggy, I really live in a desert. I live in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. I am about 45 miles from Phoenix and it does get hot here. I know we don't have the humidity like many people have but when it's 110 or 115 it's like a blast furnace when you walk outside. I try to get all of my appointments as early in the day as possible. Yesterday I saw the neuro at 1 p.m. and it was so hot outside. Then at 5 p.m. I had to go out again to take my old kitty to the vet. 5 p.m. is just as hot, or hotter, than 1 p.m. I know what humidity is like though because I spent some time one summer with my aunt and uncle in Georgia. I thought I was going to die. :) They thought it was really funny that a girl from the desert couldn't stand the heat in

GA. Oh yeah...it was real funny. Have you ever been to Arizona? Smart people visit our state in the winter when the weather is nice in the desert. Not all of Arizona is hot though. Where Challis lives they have very cold weather along with ice and snow in the winter. I want to move back there!Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
