Guest guest
Hello, Please, I need some suggestion what to feed my kid with on SCD between the meals? My 6 y.o. ASD kid doesn't want even to look at veggies and meats when it is not Feeding Clinic time ( three ABA based structured meals), and he is not crazy about almond flour capcakes either. Please, if anybody is successful with SCD, share your experience. Thank you. Larissa Turczeniuk
Guest guest
Hi Larissa, did ABA all day for all meals until habits were established. Maybe 3 months of daily sitting at the table for every session it got easier. However I still use this most days with my kids as they start to slip and don't want to eat their vegetables. We're big on FIRST/THEN. I'll make a squash brownie, but first we'll eat our cultured vegetables or green smoothie. If they don't want to eat I excuse them, but no food until the next session. In the beginning we ate every 2 hours. Once he would eat anything and understood this was how our house operated, I had more ease. Best to you > > Hello, > Please, I need some suggestion what to feed my kid with on SCD between the meals? > My 6 y.o. Guest guest
jello icey with lemon juice and honey honeynut fudge........ grind nuts then add honey and eat with spoon. Trader Joes has organic fruit whips. It has to be the organic one. the other one even though it says 100% fruit, contains corn. Snow cone.... we make our own with grape juice. > > Hello, > Please, I need some suggestion what to feed my kid with on SCD between the meals? > My 6 y.o. Guest guest
We made this for our birthday cakes while my child was affected. Now he can have a more " typical " cake though still I prefer GFCFSF. NUT BUTTER SQUASH BROWNIES by 1 cup nut butter 1/2 cup honey 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 egg 1/2 cup cooked butternut squash Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. You'll like! > > > > > > Hello, > > > Please, I need some suggestion what to feed my kid with on SCD between > > the meals? > > > My 6 y.o. Guest guest
Larissa you might like this for a pudding. 1 bag frozen blueberries, 1 ripe avacado, 1 ripe banana, 2 TBS raw nut butter. This is so easy and quick to throw together. Another idea is butter candies to get more good fats in. I mix ghee, coconut oil, with liquid stevia flavors, just mix it together and put in candy molds in fridge or freezer...pops out like little candies....I used this to reinforce when I was working to make vegetables not such a nightmare. I fry dulse (ocean vege) in coconut oil, it takes seconds and has a salty taste....lots of minerals. We dip apples in nut butter. I dehydrate pureed vegetables with fruits to make " fruit leathers. " My kids wanted to eat allllll the time, I thought I would die....the constant hunger finally stopped once all the infections came down (fungal etc....) > > > > Hello, > > Please, I need some suggestion what to feed my kid with on SCD between the meals? > > My 6 y.o.
