I am ROFLMHO at the image of you whispering in Quincy Butt's ear! rofl! that is so precious, cute...and hysterical! I bet you are irristibably adorable, and that is what attracted your husband to you! And the Charmin thing! you are too cute for words!

Graham crackers and chocolate milk! I bet ya have a tiny little figure too!

I don't normally make comments like these...but there is something about you...I feel comfortable with you already!

We have 3 cats--1 old man--Tiger, who is white with big gray splotches and spots--he's almost 14--hard to believe! Then there's Zelda--all black with Almond-shaped golden eyes--she is a wild one! She is about 9 months old and she is wacky ! Tracey is a sweetie pie, she is about 7 and a half months, gray-striped with a white bib. Then there is Missy, our loyal mutt--she is a mix of shep, collie, beagle--fairly short hair, black, orange and a tan belly--she is a nice size--about 65 lbs. I am thinking about looking into seeing if she could be trained to be my service dog. Just a thought. She is most attached to me--although 'dad' takes her on long runs in the woods. great to get to know you, blessings, kate

Thank you all!

What a great present I woke up to this morning!! After a night of rough sleep, I got online and it was like xmas, looking at all the responses I got! You guys have no idea how much that means to me...if you all were here, I'd bake you a cake :). I was asked to introduce myself, I have a little bit, but I'll try my best to tell you all a little more about me. Actually, I prefer to go by Andi (the only person to call me was my high school English teacher and she said it like, AundreAHHH- I swear it was like nails on chalkboard) when I'm in trouble I'm more known as "Andi Jo"....hmmm. I grew up in a small town (pop. 400 when no one's on vacation) which was nice. We never had to worry about locking doors, being out at night, or crime at all. I went to college on a volleyball scholarship where I met my husband, who played basketball. It's true that opposites attract, he was shy to my outgoing and it's funny now because when I would come home from class, the RA's would say.."You're husband's in your room again". I'd get so mad because he'd eat all my graham crackers and drink all my chocolate milk (those were my staples in college!!) But finally, after 7 years together we got married on Jan. 17th 03, so it's been a good 11 years we've been together and our most serious fight was when I threw a toilet paper roll at him and we didn't talk for a week. (He said it hurt, but come on, it was Charmin!!) As I said before, we have 2 cats, Olivia phine, a 10 year old tiny grey and white spoiled thing, Oliver , a 2 year old orange tabby (He's our little hunter) and our newest addition, Quincy Jon (Mike, my husband, calls him Flash from Dukes of Hazzard), an adorable 5 mo. old bassett hound. It's been very interesting dealing with cats all these years and having a dog that follows me around everywhere! I call him Quincy-butt because it seems he's attached to my butt 24/7. We are still in the proccess of potty training and I was at my witts end last night so for about a half hour while he was napping I kept saying in his floppy ears, "Pee OUTSIDE Quincy, Pee OUTSIDE" hoping that through osmosis he would finally get the hang of it. (Still woke up to a pee spot in the hallway about 2 inches from the puppy pad). I hope to get some pics on here to show you all and some of my adorable neices and nephews! I read through the posts of the group this morning and I cried out of happiness, sadness, and relief. All of you are so strong and wonderful and I want to be here not to just vent on you all, but provide an ear to vent on. One thing that has helped me through out this past year and half was humor, family, and I feel like in finding this group, I've found a home for me and my MS! Thank you Akiba, (my new twin haha), Kate, Val, n, Sharon, and anyone else that I missed for the amazing welcome!! Hugs to you all!Did I hear someone had a "thing" about clean floors??? I love you whoever you were :) you're a girl after my own heart.Oh and thank you Sharon for the links..they were great..Ok I'll shut up now, it looks like Quincy is making to go potty....

Welcome Andi. My name is Trista. I am a resident lurker, who de-lurks occasionally. lol. I have 4 boys. (14, 10, 3.5, and 2 in August) I've got 3 dogs. Dora is a black lab, Boots is an adorable muttley little guy and Maggie is our adorable, yet irritating pug. I have 2 cats that were abandoned. Julius is a white and orange, lovable boy. Mocha is a beautiful Siamese, who loves to lay on my shoulder like a baby. AND I feed EVERY stray in our neighborhood. (about 16, that I'm trying to trap and fix, to prevent more.)

I do not have an MS dx, as of yet. But, recently I discovered I have several dx's written in my chart, that no one shared with me! grrr. Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia/Mononeuritis Multiplex. Possible MS.

My 2 oldest boys are special needs kids. ( #1 -Asperger's Syndrome/Tic Disorder. #2 - High functioning Autism/OCD.)

I am married to a wonderful man, named Steve. He is my biggest support, besides this group. Our 5th anniversary was June 15th. He's the father that my 2 oldest never had before.

This is an awesome group, and you will fit in nicely! I enjoyed your sense of humor that showed in your post. lol. Anyways..... welcome to the family! Sharon (our fearless leader and mother of sorts) is a great lady. And our members are the best people on the web.

Anyway.......... too much about me. WELCOME!

I didn't happen to welcome you immediately, , but I kinda believe in being late because then the person can enjoy getting one more "whatever"it is they are getting. I'm Kathi from southeast Michigan........divorced and alone .....not because I'm not lovable, but my husband was unable to deal with my MS. I don't walk and am continuing to get worse..rather fast. I have two grown children and five grandchildren, the oldest, 17. I hope you can read my print okay because part of my joy is being able to use interesting Fonts and characters since I can no longer draw and paint. Kathi

Andi,

Welcome. This is a great group of people who are supporting and care. Lots of

humor for those bad days.

My name is Connie and I live in Fort

Worth, Texas. The big

hot state. I was diagnosed 4 years ago with RRMS. I have never had a major

excerabation, just lots of tingling, vertigo, numbness and bladder issues. I

was diagnosed after a MRI that my urologist ordered. Confirmed by a neurologist

and here I am. I am currently on Rebif and doing well.

I work at an elementary school as a

special ed assistant and am currently working on my degree so I can teach. My

husband and I have 4 kids, twin boys that are 24—I guess they are twin

men J, a son 21 and my baby, a daughter 16. Last but not least, one very

feisty terrier named Duncan.

I look forward to “talking” to you ,

Connie

I'm so glad you like us! lol I think we have a wonderful, caring group and I'm very proud of "my baby". I have two grown children (my youngest is 35). My daughter, Challis, is also a member of this group. Challis hasn't been diagnosed yet but I think it's a matter of time. She not only has the MS genetics from me but one of her first cousins on her father's side has MS as well. I have eight grandchildren ages 3, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12, 16, and 20. I am 56 and I share a household with my son, his wife and four of my grandkids. In this household we have 6 large dogs, 7 cats, 3 aquariums full of fish/frogs and 6 hermit crabs. My own animals out of that menagerie are 2 dogs and 1 cat. The dogs are Petunia, a 13 year old red lab/Shepherd mix

and 4 year old Yippy. Yippy is hard to describe. His mother is a white dog with Arctic blue eyes. I don't know who his father was (his mom was a floozy :) Yippy is very muscular and strong. He has short hair that looks like Australian Shepard. When he was a puppy his ear canals were closed and he couldn't hear. As he grew his ears grew too and his ear canals opened up! He has one eye that is half blue. We don't think he can see well. He is the biggest dork in the world and goes berserk when I'm not around. I'll have to get a picture of him for the group. My cat, Susie, is 12 years old and is a short haired black kitty. (she's like me and is a little old fat girl :) Susie has had a chronic abdominal infection since we lived in the backwoods of Alaska. She either tangled with a shrew or something... we aren't sure but she has to be treated with antibiotics every few months. It

will heal up and then it flares up again. Susie was born in my house so she's always been my special kitty. She sleeps with me every night. In Alaska she actually sleep completely under the covers because it was so cold. lol Petunia has been mine since she was about 6 months old. The people who lived next-door to me moved out and left her there. So I took her in. She's a wonderful dog and has instinctively acted as a "service dog". She has helped me up when I have fallen. Right now she is rolling around on her back on my bed. lol... she only does that when she thinks no one is watching! lolThe other dogs in the house are Yippy's mom, Blanca, and his sisters Lady, Rosie and Puddin'. All of these dogs and cats went to Alaska with us and came back with us. They've traveled nearly 10,000 miles with us. The other 6 cats are all related to each other: Ginger, Pistol, Bob, Sweetie,

Bigfoot and PoopyTail. So, you can see you aren't the only animal "nut" in the group. There are a lot of us here who have animals and love them. Animals aren't my only interest. I like to read. My favorite authors are Helen MacInnes (I love those old spy novels!), Janet Evanovich and Sue Grafton. Sue Grafton doesn't write fast enough for me though. I bought 12 Sharp by Evanovich off of ebay and I've lost it here in my bedroom. I have searched high and low. I feel like buying another one... I keep up on the news and current events. I am an artist but I haven't sat down at the easel in years now. I'm trying to "get my groove back". I'm glad you joined us. I'm not always this long winded but I took a Provigil today and I'm feeling really "up". hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Well, Trista -- I can say OCD. lol I used to have some pretty bad germ ocd stuff going on when I was still working (at CPS) but after being on anti-depressants that eased off enough that I can touch door knobs and let grandkids drink out of my water bottle! I do have an ocd thing right now about getting into bed "just right" but I'm trying to get over it. I also think my legs will stick together wrong when I sleep (okay, so I'm weird) so I used powder on my legs at bedtime. I live in a household of ocd afflicted kids and I try hard to never mention any of my ocd things around them so as not to "suggest" any thing to them. hugs))Sharon This

As I said before, we have 2 cats, Olivia phine, a 10 year old tiny grey and white spoiled thing, Oliver , a 2 year old orange tabby (He's our little hunter) and our newest addition, Quincy Jon (Mike, my husband, calls him Flash from Dukes of Hazzard), an adorable 5 mo. old bassett hound.

Sharon,

I'm not so sure that the legs sticking together wrong is so much OCD, as it is MS... I don't do very well with anything being on top of my legs at night.. sometimes even the blankets.. (which is going to be pretty awful if it progresses, because I can't sleep unless my legs are completely tucked in..you know..the blankets UNDER the feet thing).. If I wake up to go potty, which I usually do, and 's leg is even slightly over mine, I panic.. He used to put his leg over mine to "still" it when it was doing the "night dance" thing. He probably still does and that's why I wake to feeling trapped..

It seems so many of us in the group have some touch of OCD somewhere in our lives.. I've got to wonder about that one now as well.. Is the OCD a result of a brain wart in some area of our brains? Now I've got something new to obsess about.. lol

Trista,

My youngest was like that.. well with the paper, he couldn't stand the tablet paper the school's gave out back then each grading period.. so I had to buy him notebook paper ALL the time.. He didn't like it either, but it was better than the tablets.

As for bare feet.. the ONLY time his socks come off his feet is when he gets in the shower.. and then I think he'd keep them on if he thought he could get away with it... He's 25 now, and STILL is never without socks on his feet.. Oh.. but he has NO problem going outside without shoes.. just so long as those socks.... usually white... are on his feet! I gave up years ago on trying to get his socks white again.. if they didn't come white after soaking in Borateem, hot water with bleach and all that stuff.. well.. I eventually began to just buy ALL of his socks exactly the same, and tossing the worst ones.. he still always had a pair.. All white tube socks.. Come to think of it.. I had to buy him those water slippers.. for in the pool when he was younger too..

I should have been more like that when I was younger... would have saved an awful lot of trips to the doctor for shots.. I didn't develop breathing problems when stung, but it could be counted on for at least half of the honeybees stings on the bottom of the foot to turn into blood poisoning.. My foot always swelled to twice it's normal size then we'd watch for the red streak... Oh well...

Take Care..
