Guest guest
Sharon. I really hope the extra baclofen helps. I know this feeling and it is not good. Hang in there. Have you tried the klonopin with the baclofen before bed? Maybe you can get one of your grandies to massage them or gently hit them. Sounds weird I know but when mine get bad or the pain gets real bad I gently punch them or hard depending.lol.. But in your case gently k. hope your feeln better soon! I was going to 'stick it out' because I have an appointment on the 29th but I had another really bad night. I have to sleep on my side (because of back injuries) but if my legs touch I'm in really bad pain. That has been building for the past week or so. Last night it was awful! I finally took an extra bed pillow and put it between my legs and slept like that. This morning my legs were so spastic (has also been building) I just couldn't stand it. My calves were especially bad. I massaged them with Lynn's Miracle Oil but nothing helped. But I sure did feel like yelping with I massaged my right calf. I have also had a really hard time walking. > > So I gave in and called. Doc's nurse just called back and told me to increase my Baclofen. I have been taking 80 mgs. and she said I can take up to 40 mg. more but the max is 120 mg. I admitted that I had been in so much distress this morning that I already did take an extra 10 mg. Just that amount extra helped me. I've done my leg stretches several times today and that also helped. > > I hope things are looking up for everyone today. > > hugs) > Sharon > > This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Sharon, Wow that's a lot of neurontin. Do you have major side effects? My husband is a diabetic and has neuropathy really bad and used to be on it but he couldn't function. Now he is taking lyrica and so am I. Best of luck with the different dose. Not sure which dose is changing from your email but hope it goes well for you. :)Sharon Marsden wrote: I already take 40 mg. of Baclofen, 2 of the .5 mg. Guest guest
:The dose that's changing is the Baclofen. I'm just increasing it temporarily to see if it helps then I'll see my neurologist on the 29th.I tried Lyrica and I had a major reaction to it. I was unable to walk! There were other things too but it doesn't matter because you and hubby are doing good on it. I take Cymbalta for my neuropathic leg pain (and also for depression).I've actually been on more Neurontin at one time and when I'm able I wean down on it. The neurontin is what helps for my Trigeminal Neuralgia as well as other nerve pain. I have been on Neurontin since 1997 so I guess I'm used to it. I have gone off of it several times to see if I still need it--and I found out I still need it! lol I don't have any problems with Neurontin. hugs))Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
