Guest guest
Have you considered Spaulding Rehab Hospital or Braintree in Massachusetts? They may have the neuro/ortho components you are looking for. Kimberley R. Palma Office Manager - ECHN Rehabilitation Services Tel: Fax: kpalma@... info needed I have a patient who has been diagnosed with Hereditary (Familial) Spastic Paraplegia. Because of the associated muscle weaknesses and gait abnormalities, he has developed significant OA of the knees. One orthopedic surgeon has recommended TKA bilaterally, but has not even taken notice of his foot and ankle, or hip problems that I believe are the major contributors of his gait problems. I suspect he will continue to experience major problems, including to the protheses, if these are not addressed first. I'm hoping someone out there can recommend an orthopedic surgeon in the Northeast (NYC, Boston, Philly... other than the Central NY area) who has had experience in managing the ortho component of this particular disease. Thanks, Gabe Yankowitz, PT Syracuse, NY
