Guest guest
DDear Dana~Wow! What a treat! Yosemite! With your photography skills, you probably captured some awesome shots. I hope you'll post them on the group! Can relate to a few things you say here. Yes, I too, with this heat have noticed considerable constipation. I think sometimes in part it might be attributable to being "out of your comfort zone" also--that's for me. But yes, the heat too, I think might be having "it's way" with my MS! Last year, when I did the 5 mile kayak across the Hudson, I found I have alot more stamina doing stuff with my arms, and not my legs and walking. I've noticed--not sure if it has anything to do with the Tysabri; but since my first infusion--I have 'clumsy' hands and my arms feel a bit weak--something fairly new. And yes, surely it is an immense plus to know how to steer! Part of it is strength, but a good portion is technique! Glad you had a good time. You should rest up now! You DID use your sun screen, right? Although you look like you tan, and not burn, like me, the pale Irish lass. blessings and love, kate Re: The heat & humidity did me in.. I went with a group to Yosemite this past weekend. I was thinking I'd be able to do at least a short hike. But, the extreme heat tired me out terribly. Personally, I find the heat also seems to cause constipation. Possibly it's a result of the amount of perspiration and not enough fluids. My friend (who is quite healthy) and I did some rafting on the Merced River in Yosemite. It was much more enjoyable than trying to hike! Surprisingly I seemed to have more strength rowing than he. And, at the end I wasn't sore muscled. (I think I had the advantage of knowing how to use an oar to steer and paddle a canoe from my old Boy Scout days.) --Mr. Dana F. Guest guest
And this fair skinned, blue eyed Welsh/German also burns horribly. After my experience at the dermatologist recently I would say everyone should wear sunscreen. But, you know what? I can't. It drives me insane to have any kind of cream or "stuff" on my face or arms. If I put cream of any kind on my hands I have to go wash it back off. I know a lot of us were talking about OCD and mine is better since being on anti-depressants but the lotion thing still hangs on. I am also looking forward to seeing Dana's pics of his weekend. hugs)Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Sharon, lol. Never thought of that as an OCD thing! lol. I do the same thing. I don't have to with Lynns oil, because it soaks in so well, and it doesn't feel greasy after it soaks in. Guest guest
It's an OCD thing for sure. One of Challis' boys has the same thing. His poor hands will crack and bleed and he will finally put cream on them but then has to wash it off. Sunscreen always made me feel hot. Hotter than I usually feel. Guest guest
Sharon. When I was little I use to wash my hands so often they would crack and bleed. I remember having to go the doc quite a few times because they were so bad. Guess washing them to much is better then none at all, but when your young too much is just toooo much.lol.. Imagine being told dont wash your hands so much, most parents are always saying go wash your hands. Lol --- MSersLife wrote: > It's an OCD thing for sure. One of Challis' boys has the same thing. Guest guest
I would die if I couldn't wash my hands. You should see me if we don't have water! I go berserk! On my kitchen sink at this moment is a bottle of dish soap, a bottle of antibacterial soap, and a bottle of Germ-X. And as soon as I see any of them are at the half full line, I go out and buy more. I'd hate to get caught without anything to wash my hands with. The Germ-X is basically for those rare times that I don't have water. You don't need water to use it. So....don't feel bad, Sharon. It's not an oddity at all. ) GBU...Val @};- Re: Re: The heat & > humidity did me in..> > > > > > > > And > this fair skinned, blue eyed Welsh/German alsoburns horribly.
