Guest guest
Hello to group. Has anyone purchased one or both of these books: The Reimbursement Resource Book by the APTA and INGENIX For the Physical Therapist Coding and Payment guide for the Physical Therapist. I am curious about how helpful each of these manuals may or may not be. I know there are lots of variables why the book may be effective for one clinic over another. I would be interested in any feedback. Thank you for your time and consideration. Chad , MSPT, CSCS Sports Performance and Rehab Pueblo, CO chadclarktopfit@... Guest guest
I have purchased the Ingenix book and I found it very helpful. It condenses CPT codes and ICD-9 for easy reference vs. having to buy the entire CPT or ICD books separately. Kimberley R. Guest guest
Chad- We use the Ingenix Reimbursement guide and it is very helpful for coding not only with CPT, but ICD-9s. It does give some CPT codes that I feel are very unrelated to PT, but overall it is helpful if you are needing a definition of the CPT codes and what they include in an easy to use format and one location. It also discusses a little about billing and reimbursement. Hope this helps. le Bohl, MPT Reimbursement Resource book and Ingenix coding book Hello to group.
