Shaz,We had a HORRIBLE reaction to GSE because of the citrus thing. It didn't come up on IgG, but I know from behavior that it is absolutely the WORST thing he can have. It never even occurred to me that GSE could cause problems, but after almost 2 weeks, I had the "lightbulb" moment and we stopped. The behavior got a little better, but it was still "citrus" bad. Then I realized that I had used a new compounding pharmacy for his Nystatin and they had flavored it with Tangerine extract. Once I got him off of it, the behavior still took about a week to go away. I think it took that long to get out of his system. So yes - if he has citrus allergies, GSE is NOT for you. My son has several food allergies and one of them is citrus especiallt grapefruit..well his DAN didn't think it really was the same as eating grapefruit but I started GSE a few days ago and now he's hiving up and I'm at a loss what it could be so I'm wondering if GSE could be causing this..??

Are there any other recommendations for HIVES other than antihistamines?? Not sure what to do when he does get hives now..

Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly appreciated!!

You know, I have never even thought of that before. I don't use it to clean, so I guess it never occurred to me. I probably wouldn't. If it is a Phenol issue, it can cause problems if breathed. I know that grass - fresh cut - can really cause problems in Phenol sensitive people.
