Guest guest
we did after 2 yrs on the diet. It took 3 months before we truly saw regression (and we did use Houstons enzymes to offset the gluten). First we noticed a slight decline in attention, then some stims returned, and eventually undigested food and blow out stools. It took about 2 wks. back on the diet to see the fog lift, skills return and stools firm up! Glad I tried it though, at least I know now that a small infraction isn't going to send him off the deep end (just tons of laughter fits!). He has been on the diet for 5 yrs. now. > > Hi all, > Would like to slowly wean my son off the GFCF diet, but would like to see if these Houston's Enzymes work first before ordering from their site. How much do you give, how often and when? My 4yr old is non-verbal, weighs 41 pounds and the only way he will take supplements is if I crush it and add it to apple sauce or frozen juice. I would like to try introducing gluten back in, say let him eat this once a week to start. > If not Houston's enzymes, then what enzymes have worked good for your child? > Has anyone abandoned the diet with the help of enzymes? > > Thanks, > >
