New PTPP opening-question about Medicare

You can start seeing Medicare patients before they have issued your

Medicare number as long as you are in the application process,

correct? My question is when can you start? Is it when you mail in

the application? When they receive and begin procesing the

application? I want to start seeing some, and i realize payment will

be more dealyed than usual, but I don't want to find out I started too

early and won't be paid at all for some of these patients.

I just joined the PPS but I'm still learning to navigate their website

and hoped for a quicker answer. Thanks for any help you can provide.
