Talking about Medicare part D......Didn't know you had to call in and enroll yourself, I was under the impression that you were automatically signed up on it like Part A and B....But noooooo. Just to let others know if you ever have Medicaid...you have to call medicare and sign up for medicare part D yourself. I might be able to help someone from having to go through the same crap I just went through today. I worked on getting 4 prescriptions filled since yesterday..I started back in today at 8 am and finally at 5:30 the tech at my pharmacy called and said it was taken care of.....I called medicaid 7 times and was told something different every time I called, but each time was told that since I had medicare I could not have medicaid any more. Even though my plan is not over until the 31 of this month. When I called medicare 7 times I was given a run around and transferred several different times each call. Finally on the 7th call I

talked to a lady that told me since I was in "transition" I could get my meds by having the pharmacy do a "facilitated plan" the pharmacy has to do the claim through medicare for 14 days worth of pills. Do not sign up for medicare part D before you do this other wise it knocks you out of being able to get it. Thank-goodness I had a lady at the K-Mart pharmacy with nerves of steel and the patients of a saint!!! If you need more info I will be glad to help you. E-mail me at this same address. I have pills and am finally getting medicare figured out some. Love to all, It is so stupid that some drugs are not approved on Medicare Part D. I take clonazapam which is excluded the last time I looked but thankfully my secondary insurance pays for it. Even if they didn't, the cost is low on this drug but it isn't right to exclude drugs that a patients DOCTOR has prescribed. It's ludicrous.
