Guest guest
There are multiple evaluation tools available for pediatric PT assessments. The PDMS-2 is one that measures the child's performance compared to normally developing children. I have found it to be of limited use with most peds patients unless you use it to get a qualifying " score " for program eligibility. Children will typically continue to score poorly on the test but have actually progressed in their functional motor abilities since the items in the PDMS are more skill-oriented than functional. There are many other better functional tools out there that will allow you to measure change over time and acquisition of relevant motor function (Gross Motor Function Measure, Pediatric Evaluation of Disability Index, School Function Assessment, etc.).
