Hi ,

I'm glad you had a great time! I think we all could take a page out of that

76 year old's book. He is ver unique though, and we as women have things to

deal with such as hormones that make it harder to control the diabetes.

Again, congratulations and I'm glad you had a good trip.

Award trip to Eli Lilly

Well, I had my 2 days of glory at the Eli Lilly Company last Tues. and Wed.

There were 6 Eli Lilly awardees: one for youth-a teen from Simi Valley here

in CA; me, the adult winner, a professional winner-a doc from Florida who

has been a pediatric endocrinologist from Florida who started a diabetic

camp for children in Florida; a diabetic man from Orlando with a seizure dog

who has saved him from dieing several times; a new diabetic from San

Francisco area who has a web site for diabetics-diabetesmine.com. At any

rate we were taken on a tour of the Eli Lilly company and fed an feted and

put up in a very ultra nice hotel for Tues. and Wed and we ere presented a

nice glass placard at a big dinner with all the uppity-ups from Eli Lilly.

I met a man there who has been diabetic since the age of 3-he is now 76-and

has no complications at all! Amazing. It was a fun, wonderful experience.

people-including the 76 year old guy who has been diabetic for 73 years with

no complications! That was really amazing.
