Obama has “0” experience in government

compared to the other candidates. It is absurd that he is even running, much

less the fact that he has a following. This “universal” health care idea

sounds good to people who do not keep up with social and political ideas and

unfortunately don’t have the education to make an informed decision. He preys

upon these people.

Here is where we are crossing the line in this topic discussion. You may not think universal health is a good idea. Or, you may not like Obama's particular plan. But, to say that he "preys upon" people who don't keep up with social & political ideas is crossing the line and taking a healthy discussion on the pros & cons of universal health care into the realm of bitter & nasty accusations and unproductive discourse.

Please keep discussion to health care issues and not on a person's motivations for proposing a solution to our ever growing health care costs.

Here is where we are crossing the line in this topic discussion. You may not think universal health is a good idea. Or, you may not like Obama's particular plan. I am NOT interested in Obama or whether or not he has any experience. My question was what do you all think of Universal Healthcare? Is it possible. The problems start when we start discussing individual candidates. I am only interested in people's views on whether or not Universal Healthcare can some day work.

Trista, YES! It works in Spain, Italy, France, all of NW Europe, all the NATO countries and it is not socialised save for in Spain! I think that if we were ever

to dare to tax the earned incomes and investments of the wealthy, that universal

health care could be achieved, solely by increasing the total revenue to the federal

and state budgets. My mother lived to nearly 103; I pray that I may see this yet!

There MUST be a way for so great a country as ours to achieve this, if only we

I agree n. Our country has accomplished so much, that there must be a way. We must start caring more about our own people first. It is shameful that we have homeless veterans. We have a man in town here, reduced to asking for change, just to survive. (he is a double amputee Vietnam vet.)
