allowable and they pay $35 and the pt. has a $15 co-pay?

This just begs the age old question-how many visits can a therapist do at a

loss before they make it up on volume.

Dick Hillyer would stop and point out an opportunity cost here and it is a

valid point-that is, if you have open appointments bringing in nothing, wouldn't

this fill in the cash flow gaps? It could, but I would suggest unless you

just opened a clinic, you would be better off walking away from these types of

contracts if you can.

Matt,

$35 for the TOTAL AMOUNT. When I asked the representative from ACN if this was

correct, she sheepishly acknowledged that this was the amount being offered.

Needless to say, we turned down the contract.

I think we all need to think outside the box here. $35 may not seem like

much, but I was thinking of doing a public offering here online to raise the

capital necessary to start buying up failed Quick Lube Service lanes. We could

have cars pull up in two different lanes. One would be for traditional

insurances and the second would be an HMO express lane. And with all the public

money

I am going to raise with this idea, I could negotiate lower rates with HMO's

but only if they used the third lane we will add for HOV vehicles (rates would

be $25 per patient, $100 maximum per car). With my contract I would insist

on NO malpractice liability and I don't even think a PT to perform therapy

services would even be necessary. After all, Doctors have proven that

qualifications are necessary to bill for therapy services in their offices. For
