Guest guest
Mark Schwall, P.T. did a fantastic job articulating a concern that many physical therapists and licensing boards have. When one accepts the privilege of holding a professional license in New Jersey, and most other states, it precludes them from removing that hat and replacing it with another that is not regulated. If a P.T. is providing any intervention, then it has to be P.T. In providing P.T intervention you must follow state rules and regulations, and documentation is needed and required. It is unfortunate that we have been made to look outside of our profession for other sources of income due to poor insurance reimbursement. Should we really roll over and succumb to these pressures or should we fight for our patients to protect their right for appropriate insurance coverage? Barry Barry G. Inglett, P.T.,CHT, Cert.
