Guest guest
All of my relatives and my husband's are very "family" oriented; now my four kids just groooaaan when I tell them how much I love them, but they DO express love back, while giggling a bit! Love to you, , and to all in our group, also a new variety of true family, nRojas5915@... Re: saying I love you HI n, I totally agree with you. when we were raising our children, we never let them leave without saying I love you. To this day, my children always say it before leaving or hanging up the phone. My grand kids even are in a habit of saying I love you when they leave the house even for a minute. I always took pride in having a close knit family and the kids always speak to each other by phone or e-mail. On the other hand, I came from a divorced family, being raised by a step mother. Love was not a word used very often. My siblings were never very close like I would have liked. I blame it on not expressing our love for each other. Now that we are older and wiser, we do occasionally say I love you when we leave each other. My wife is a loving, caring person, who is quick to say I love you, and I believe that by her words and actions, she has taught us as a family to express our love for each other. So, the point is, I believe like you do, that the world be such a better place, if more people would see the bright side of things and people, and appreciate what God has given us, we would be so much happier. Even with this monster (ms) we share, we as a group seem to love life and people the way the world should. I thank you for being so loving and generous of yourself. I have fallen in love with this group and look forward to reading my e-mail every day. I love you,
Guest guest
I love that, Cassy! "god bless you, sweet dreams, and say your prayers". I think I'll start saying that to my live-in grandkids. Every night they come into my room over and over to say goodnight. It really does bug me that they come in so much. I've tried telling them in the hall before I retire to my room for the evening "I'm going to bed--come say your goodnights now". And they all come and hug me and we say our goodnights. I've been trying to cut down on the repeated "good nights" but maybe I should be thankful for them instead. When we were in Alaska we lived in one room. Beds, wood stove roaring day and night, the long kitchen table--everything in one room about 24 by 24 feet. There were 7 of us and every night when the last kerosene lamp was blown out we would lay there in the dark and call out our goodnights to each other. It reminded me of the Waltons. (Cassy is probably too young to remember the Waltons. I have enjoyed hearing these stories.... love,Sharon Re: saying I love you .Your such a sweetie. I love your outlook.I have a close family too.Love is used alot.Im very close to my mom and brothers and sisters.I talk to my mom a million times a day and we always say I love you.She calls me every night to tell me,God bless you, sweet dreams, and say your prayers. My gran.a has always said that to her and us all, then my mom did,and now I do to my girls.Love is the greatest gift there is.As long as we love, and see the best in everything, there really is no goin wrong.I love all you to pieces and truly couldnt imagine not having you guys. Thanks for posting this lots of luv, cassy [ftrascrittaol (DOT) com] wrote: HI n, I totally agree with you. when we were raising our children, we never let them leave without saying I love you. Guest guest
That's weird. It let's me do it. Wait--what is your idea of 'trimming posts'? Maybe I have a different idea. I just highlight the older emails at the bottom and delete them. hugs)Sharon Re: saying I love you nne, this happens with these two on our list to me as well; also, Sharon has asked that we "trim"our posts, which I cannot do on this list--have no idea why not! Guest guest
I understand that sentiment! How about the Beatles singing "Love Is All You Need" ? What happened to those good times? Guest guest
Yes, nne~ I do remember that song. And I think you're right. To me, rap is just crap without the "C". It's no wonder there's so much hate and violence today. And the disrespect that the youths have for everything and everyone. I'll save the (w)rap for what I do to presents for holidays. God bless... Val ----- Original Message ----- Does anyone remember the song Love Makes the World Go Round? I think if they sang more songs like this and eliminated the rap music that talks about killing etc and some of the other music you can't even understand what they are saying, that the world WOULD be a better place. Boy can you tell I am getting older? LOL Hugs nne
