It's nearly "hermit time" here too. We have been blessed with cooler than normal weather for this time of year. We've only had one day that reached 103. It has been around 100 but today was only 95 I think. I even went to Wal Mart this afternoon! It's probably my last trip to Wally World during the day until October. We usually still have 110 in September. Soon I'll be going early in the morning. I used to go after dark but I can't stay up that late anymore :) I hope your trip to the zoo works out for you '.Sharon Re: Wierd feeling I've asked a friend of mine's 16 year old daughter to go to the Tyler, Texas zoo with me and the kids. She's alot bigger than me and will be able to push my chair while we look and the weather won't be too hot yet. I hope! I want to do something with the kids before I become a hermit for the nest three months. '

HI Sharon,

I live in southern California and its been in the 90's here as well.

I just cant take the heat at all right now. Its been 3 weeks since

my episode and I really have no relief. The past week I have been

dealing with pain in my legs and now today it started in my right

arm. My right legs is giving me fits as well. We have a big picnic

to go to next sunday and I dont know how long I will last in the

heat. Also I have this pain in my neck and down my back when I bend

my head forward, it hurts like h-e-double hockey sticks(LOL)!I know

my husband and our friends are going to try to figure a way to keep

me cool. So will see how it goes. I have an appointment with the

neurologist tomorrow so we'll see what he says. I also found out

that my husbands insurance does cover pre-existing conditions so

thats good. But it doesnt start til september.

Also my mom just called and my 3 week old grand daughter is in the

hospital running a high fever and they cant seem to get it down.

They transferred her to another hospital better equiped to deal with

her.

Take Care and God Bless!!!

Hi Mickie:How far away is your granddaughter? I will certainly keep her in my prayers. As far keeping cool: can you get one of those cool neck rags? The have that stuff in them that swells when it's soaked in water, keeping your neck cool for a long time. Get a spray bottle and carry that with you and keep spritzing yourself. Drop an ice cube down your bra or pour cool water in your bra. Honest! It really works great. Anyone else have some ideas for Mickie?Sharon Re: Zoos, outings and hot weather HI Sharon, I live in southern California and its been in the 90's here as well.
