Guest guest
All I do is make an exchange of 1 protein for 2 carb or vice versa. If you use the Stanford meal planner it helps to watch the bottom numbers in prot/fat carb column and get the right ratio. Then you can play with the proteins and carbs. You usually end up with a neg number on one equal to a pos munber on the other. It actually works out to almost an even exchange depending on what you use. Sorry if this sounds confusing. I have difficulty on trying to explain it, I just know how to make it work. Plus I am comfortable making these type of changes because I know what is needed to get the right balance. Remember every child is different. Logan so far hasn't seemed to be sensitive to anything. This does help though when I know we are having a veggie he only tolerates and I don't have to give him as much. Other may not agree with this but it works for us. And Logan has gone from having 50-100 seizures daily to now being seizure-free. We are also in the process of getting rid of the meds but as you may know it is a slow process. Hope this helps. Take care, Kalii Mom to Logan 4 (ketokod since 07/01, seizure-free) and big brother Cody 8. --- Ketomommie@... wrote: > Kalii, > Could you tell me how you balance protien throughout > the day?
